New Brother/New Sister: a Story about Welcoming the New Baby (from the So Many Fairies Series)
Little Nathan loves his days with his mother and father. He loves their attention, he loves their snuggles and he loves playing with them ... when they are able to play. When he learns that his parents are going to have another baby, he is initially excited and imagines that he will have a playmate. But then he notices that things are changing in the house - changes that he doesn't like. Luckily Maggie, the Tulip Tree Elf, offers a perspective on the coming changes that helps him not only feel more welcoming to the baby - but honored to become something very very special: a big brother.
Visiting the New Baby (from the At Home with Martin & Sylvia Series)
Momma’s assistant Amy has just had a baby, and Martin and Sylvia can’t wait to see her. They do all sorts of things to get ready to meet her: they make cards and little fuzzy gifts, and plan out a nutritious meal. But nothing prepares them for the magical moment of seeing a new baby for the first time.
In the Stillness (from the Junkyard Tales: All Together Now Series)
It is a cold snowy day in the Junkyard, and a single muskrat arrives through the back gate with some incredible news - she is going to have a baby! All the animals then rally to make a warm bed, provide nourishing food and together anticipate the arrival of the new baby.
Mika and Mukki's Big Baby Brother (from the Sparkle Sleepytime Series)
When a family of raccoons discover a lost baby bear, they take him in and care for him while looking for his mother. Days go by and then weeks and Mike and Mukki, the raccoon kits, begin to think of the little bear as their brother. "What happens if his mother returns - or he wants to join a group of bears?" asks Mukki one day. "Regardless of what happens – Matti will always be a part of our family" answers the mother raccoon, "And that will never change – nothing can change how we feel about him. He is one of us."
This is a story about the love and sense of possibility that comes from fostering and caring for a child in need.
Superheroes (from the Junkyard Tales: All Together Now Series)
Ben Thompson and Sally are hiking to the lake to deliver some healing tea to Fredland the Moose, and they secretly hope to spy the 'Brave and Busy Beaver Brigade.' "They are real superheroes!" claims Sally. But what are "real superheroes"? Listen and find out.
