Lil Ring and her three ringtail cubs live a hardscrabble life in the open hills of West Texas. Lil Ring works hard all night keeping her cubs safe and well-fed and after a while, her three cubs notice how tired she looks and want to help. The challenge is that their young eyes don't see well enough at night to hunt or gather food on their own. But on the night of the full moon, they all realized that at least one night a month, it is bright enough for them to give their mother a night off.
