Kind Words: Source of Calm During a Move

I had to come and find you and tell you right away. This fall my family moved from upstate New York to Florida. My kids (10 and 7) have been enthusiastic about the move and new adventure from the beginning but I can tell it’s been tough on them even if they don’t say it. They miss their co-op. And it’s faster paced here. And it’s a small apartment instead of a big old house. I was searching my brain for ideas and realized we hadn’t listened to Martin and Sylvia since before we moved. I turned it on, and they were instantly calm, interested, and relaxed. My youngest was asleep before the end of “First Day” and my oldest listened to all of that and then was asleep before the end of “The Bud’s Story.” A full hour before they’ve been able to sleep recently. I can’t believe how much we missed you. We appreciate you!
