Kind Words: Thank you for the humanity, love, kindness, and caretaking in every story and series

I was originally referred to Sparkle Stories in 2021 by my acupuncturist. He raved about the stories and how his boys loved them growing up. From day one of the trial period my then home educated three and a half year old was enthralled and hanging in every word, asking to hear every story again and again.

WE ARE NOW SIX YEARS IN! When I told my acupuncturist we were still listening to the stories, he couldn’t believe how much Sparkle Stories had grown up and expanded into a power house of imagination for older and older kids. When they listed to it there was only a handful of stories. Both he and I spread the good word all over town.

Not only are the stories rich and vibrant with detail, the voice reading them is smooth silky gold. From late nights with illness to early mornings these stories provide calm and serene hours where parents can relax (maybe even catch some shut eye) and the kids can chill and be truly entertained with this masterful storytelling. Long car trips have become pleasurable and easy. Nighttime routine dialed in. Playtime includes a story playing and sometimes aside from music, art time has become story time as well.

The Greek mythology stories have sparked so many conversations, learning components and humorous moments. The cultural stories with interesting names, sounds, music, items, and rituals are so fascinating that my child is looking things up and asking questions all the time. Is this a real place? Can we do this? What does this mean? The growth mindset alone infused into the tales is so incredibly beautiful and inspiring. When my child is having a problem with anger, fear or making friends, I pick just the right story to help me get him through it. Today, he was having an online play date with a little pal on the other side of the continent. They were intently listening to the Dory Horde together across the miles. They were commenting, laughing and discussing.

As a home schooling family, we have to take annual testing to satisfy our state requirements. My child tests as a 12+grader in reading comprehension, Language Arts, Word Analysis, Vocabulary and Language Mechanics. He has become an animated storyteller at 9.5 years old. I absolutely attribute one of the main reasons for these scores is Sparkle Stories from a young age! Don’t get me wrong, as a home educator I work hard to cultivate a multi resource and heavily cultural curriculum, however, these stories are a staple around here. I would be remiss if I had not noticed the profound impact on my learner and his juicy brain.

You have provided such a wonderfully engaging component into our life. I wanted to thank you for the humanity, love, kindness, and caretaking in every story and series you have released. This service has meant the world to us.

Perhaps you will find a way to infuse even more for the 10+ crowd. I’m a business advisor and a neuroscience researcher. I know that learning never stops, but, as we get older we lose the fun in learning and that halts the brain from creativity and imaginative play and internal growth. I envision this continuing on, if you have the opportunity to push it further, we are all ears.
