Storybox Playlist: Feel All the Feels
The job of raising little ones involves a lot of big emotions — theirs and your own. It can be overwhelming to help children navigate feelings that they, most likely, don’t understand yet. As an adult, you’ve experienced joy, anger, sadness, fear, and just feeling plain grumpy again and again (and again). You may still find it hard to figure out how you really feel on a lot of days. How many times have you answered the question “How are you?” with “Good!” — even when you’re not?
So how do you show your children that it’s okay to feel all these feelings? How do you help them identify their feelings? And how can you help make your kids more comfortable sharing them?
This collection was created to help address some of the sticky ins-and-outs around feelings. Perfect for even the youngest Sparklers, these stories follow Martin, Sylvia, Kiddo the Koala, Libby, and more as they figure out ways to accept, identify, and share their feelings. Listen together and start the conversation around feelings in your household. Who knows? You may just find you get a little more than “Good!” when you ask your kids how they are doing.
