Storybox Playlist: Stories About What Love Is

What is love? The ancient Greeks had seven categories for love:

  • Eros (romantic love for a partner)
  • Philia (friendship love)
  • Storge (familial love, love between parents and childen or between siblings)
  • Agape (universal love such as that for a god or nature or mankind)
  • Ludus (flirty kind of love, much like teenage love)
  • Pragma (dutiful love)
  • Philautia (self love)

As you can see there are many kinds of love — for a partner, for children, for friends, for community, and more. Love can take on many wonderful forms. In this playlist, we explore different kinds of love and what love can be.
