Storybox Playlist: Stories to Inspire a Love of Science
This playlist theme is: Stories to Inspire a Love Science.
When you hear the word “scientist” the first image that comes to mind is often that of an adult in a lab coat studying things under a microscope, or maybe someone out in the wild with a lab set up in a tent in the jungle. What makes someone a scientist? A sense of wonder and a curiosity to know, experience, and discover all they can about the world around them. Someone who is willing to question the What, Why, and How of things that catch their attention. Do you know who loves to do all of these things? Children.
April 22nd, is Earth Day, so this playlist’s theme has been selected to help inspire an awe for nature and to bring out the scientist in every child. Science is awesome and it encompasses every part of our world. These stories are all about the love of science and the scientific method. There is measurement, yes – there is taking notes, yes – there is experimentation and testing, yes. But mostly, there is wonder and awe.
