Storybox Playlist: Stories to Help with Teasing and Bullying

This playlist’s theme is: Stories to Help with Teasing and Bullying.

Though teasing and bullying can be common in schools and other groups of children, there are now many ways to stop these dynamics and replace them with authentic and responsible ways to resolve conflict. These stories feature teasing and bullying dynamics and show the perspectives of both the bully and bullied – as well as the many different kinds of ‘witnesses’. The intent of these stories is to give families a place to start as they discuss and develop strategies around teasing, bullying and other relationship conflicts.

David Sewell McCann fell in love with spinning stories in first grade – the day a storyteller came to his class and captured his mind and imagination. He has been engaged in storytelling all of his adult life through painting, film-making, teaching and performing. Out of his experience as a Waldorf elementary class teacher and parent, he has developed a four step method of intuitive storytelling, which he now shares through workshops and through this website.
