Lavender and Coconut Bath Bomb Wands Tutorial

Lavender and Coconut Bath Bomb Wands Tutorial

In our newest Martin & Sylvia: Learning Days story, “A Special Bath for You”, poor Daddy has a Christmas cold. Brother and sister know just what to do: use their newfound love of herbal healing to make special soothing bath bombs! Once they get going, they discover they could make unique bath bombs for all the people they love — and maybe even create a little magic at the same time.

Would you like to join in on the healing and magic — and take some time to soothe and ease now that the busy-ness of the holidays is winding down? We’ve partnered with our friend Josie Hamor of On Willow’s Bend to bring you a special tutorial for making your own lavender and coconut bath bomb wands so that you can do just that!

More about Herbal Healing

Teaching kids about the benefits of using herbs and spices from nature helps foster connections to the natural world and create healthy habits at the same time! Herbalism is an age-old practice and today there is also evidence for the effectiveness of using natural compounds for calming, self-care, and soothing ailments. You can read about five benefits of teaching and using herbs with kids on The Sage Gardeniuty Blog .

Today’s Tutorial uses epsom salts and lavender to create a soothing, calming bath. Epsom salts can help detoxify and boost the immune system, while lavender is known to aid in relaxation, sleep, and support healing.
