Storybox Playlist: Stories for a May Day Romp
This playlist’s theme is: Stories for a May Day Romp.
May Day is the half-way mark between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. It is a great time for celebration, as spring is by now in full swing. Flowers are blooming, bees are buzzing, and there is a general feeling of electricity and excitement in the air.
May Day has been celebrated for hundreds of years as a way to protect livestock, people, and crops and to encourage plants and animals to grow strong. In the past, people would create large bonfires, dance, sing, and have a large feasts. We hope that this playlist will help your family be inspired to create your own May Day celebration.
