Storybox Playlist: Stories to Inspire Healthy Eating

This playlist’s theme is: Stories to Inspire Healthy Eating.

Healthy eating is more than just eating salads for dinner or cutting out candy. Healthy eating is about the story that surrounds eating — that meal time is a special time for being with family, that meals connect us. Where our food comes from is important, too. Seeing how vegetables are grown, how cows are milked, and how cheese is made are all important for healthy eating. So is cooking the whole foods that you bring back from the store or farmers market. Children who grow their own food and help prepare it for eating are more likely to eat those healthy things.

Whether your family is looking to eat healthier or just looking for inspiration to keep on the right track, we’ve got five really inspiring stories for you.

    Story Spinner

David Sewell McCann fell in love with spinning stories in first grade – the day a storyteller came to his class and captured his mind and imagination. He has been engaged in storytelling all of his adult life through painting, film-making, teaching and performing. Out of his experience as a Waldorf elementary class teacher and parent, he has developed a four step method of intuitive storytelling, which he now shares through workshops and through this website.
