Dry Gables: Good Neighbors

Get It Done

The leadership of Dry Gables has a challenge when South Dakota becomes an official state and their town needs to be properly authenticated. Mayor EB Herz, Jane the Pony Express rider, and town blacksmith Johann all volunteer to go to the new state capital and move the process along. When they reach Pierre, however, they each meet with a unique difficulty that tests them to the core.

In Part One: “Jane’s Adventure,” Jane hopes her positivity and connections will help their application move to the top of the pile.

In Part Two: “EB’s Proposition,” the mayor attempts to leverage his business skill and charisma to get what he wants.

And in Part Three: “Johann’s Ultimatum,” the protective blacksmith marches into the capitol building and demands to be helped.

All three fail to get what they individually want — but in the end, strangely, they find a measure of success.
