Five Projects for Knowing and Loving Yourself
There’s a particular kind of magic that happens when you sit down with a handful of beads, a blank journal page, or a smooth stone and a marker. Somewhere in the making, you end up learning something about yourself.
That’s the thread running through this roundup. Five of our favorite Sparkle projects, all built around the same simple idea: that knowing yourself is a skill worth practicing, and loving what you find along the way is even better. Some of these are hands-on crafts you can do together around the kitchen table. Others are quiet little habits you can fold into a morning or a bedtime. All of them work just as well for grown-ups as they do for the kids.
Here are five ways to help your family get a little more curious (and a little more kind) about who they really are.
However you and your family decide to dig in — whether it’s a bracelet strung with courage words, a stone tucked in a pocket, or a page full of journal prompts on a rainy afternoon — the point isn’t to get it right. It’s to get curious. Self-knowledge isn’t something kids (or the rest of us) arrive at all at once. It’s built in small moments, one bead, one word, one honest sentence at a time.
We hope this roundup gives you a few new ways to practice that together.
